Lloyd Alan Sreden, 55, a loving husband and father, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last May, which had already spread to his liver. He began his journey at City of Hope for his cancer treatment, as this is one of the top cancer centers in California. Chemotherapy treatment enabled Lloyd to continue to work his normal schedule as a CPA up until the last couple of weeks of his life. Everytime he visited City of Hope he felt at ease knowing he was recieving the best treatment around. He was cared for by multiple doctors that would meet weekly to analyze his progress and determine the best plan of action to help slow the cancer growth, always taking into account his quality of life. The team there became more like a family, did all that they could to ensure the best not just for Lloyd, but also his family. They ensured he never missed a beat, a lifetime or business event. Because of the outstanding quality and specialized care that Lloyd recieved, it became a priority for him to ensure that others in the future would be able to benefit from the same loving care and treatments he had received.

Therefore, in an effort to fulfil Lloyd's desire to help others receive quality care and treatment, in leiu of flowers, the Sreden family would appreciate donations in Lloyd's memory to the City of Hope Cancer Center to ensure that future cancer patients will be able to have the same fighting chance as Lloyd had.

There is a special matching gift opportunity part of an annual campaign called Take It Personal, and that’s really the perfect name — because fighting cancer and finding a cure is personal to the Sreden's. Every donation received in Lloyd's name, by June 30, will be matched, up to $100,000.00, thanks to the generosity of grateful patient Toni Stephenson and her husband, Emmet.

We would like to invite you to take a stand with the Sreden Family and support Lloyd, and the City of Hope by making a charitable contribution today. Their incredible doctors and researchers have been pushing the boundaries of science to find new ways to save lives for more than 100 years. And now, more than ever, they’re getting closer to a cure.

All the funds raised will help them continue their amazing work in research, treatment, and education. And you can trust they’ll spend the dollars wisely – they’ve been awarded the highest rating of 4 stars by Charity Navigator, America’s premier charity watchdog group.

Thanks so much for your support and generosity! Feel free to share this link with your friends and family. If you work for a company that has an existing matching, donation / contribution program, we would appreciate you sharing your contribution with them, every dollar helps.
