A Professorship in Medical Oncology at City of Hope

in honor of

Monsignor Clement J. Connolly

Contributions to the Monsignor Clement J. Connolly Professorship in Medical Oncology will accelerate research and cures at City of Hope.

Monsignor Clement J. Connolly has had a long and meaningful relationship with City of Hope, providing spiritual counsel to many of our cancer patients throughout his decades of service to the greater Los Angeles community.

When Monsignor Connolly was diagnosed with prostate cancer, the exceptional care he had observed and the friendships he had built with our clinicians led him to choose City of Hope as his care provider. After six weeks of targeted radiation therapy, our specialists successfully eliminated his cancer and gave Monsignor Connolly a deeper understanding of exactly why City of Hope is one of the top cancer research and treatment institutions in the nation.

Gregory Idos, MD, MS, has been named the inaugural holder of the Monsignor Clement J. Connolly Professorship. Dr. Idos is renowned for his compassionate patient care as well as his groundbreaking and innovative research in cancer genetics, especially with high-risk individuals and families.
